Inventory and shipments, in one place.
A custom inventory management system, built around how your shop already runs, so orders, stock and shipments stop living in spreadsheets, paper and one person's memory. A fixed fee to build it, then $200 to $800 CAD a month for hosting, upkeep and support.
The proof
DomCast Metals runs their shipping on this every day.
This is a recreation of the real thing with the numbers changed. Their real shipment counts, customers and tonnage stay theirs.

DomCast Metals has been casting in Windsor, Ontario since 1938, and their public site is one of my builds too. Somebody scans a packing slip and the Bill of Lading comes out the other side with nobody retyping a line. Staff review the drafted carrier email and send it, and sending commits the outgoing stock. Stock moves between warehouses, the system knows where it went, and every change carries a name and a time. The DomCast case study walks through the whole build.

When a custom build makes sense.
Most shops that call me are already running on something. Usually a spreadsheet somebody built years ago, a binder of packing slips, and one person who knows where everything is. That works until that person is away for a week. I've watched a shop buy software to fix that and then go back to the spreadsheet, because the software made them work its way. So I build it around how you already work.

What's in a build.
Your process, on screen.
01 / 04I sit with how you log a shipment today, then build that. Same steps, same words your team already uses, minus the retyping.
The paperwork, automatic.
02 / 04The OCR reads the packing slip, the Bill of Lading generates, and the system drafts the carrier email. Staff review it and send it, then outgoing stock is committed. That's the part that pays for the system.
Warehouses and roles.
03 / 04Stock in more than one building, users who only see what they should, and an audit trail with a name on every change.
Tested, documented, hosted.
04 / 04DomCast's build has 200+ automated tests behind it. Yours ships with tests, docs and a walkthrough with your team, and after launch I host it and keep it running on the monthly subscription.
Price
What it costs.
The build starts at $7,500. Most land between $7,500 and $15,000, and where yours sits depends on how much of the operation goes on screen on day one. Then I host it and keep it running, and that subscription is $200 to $800 a month depending on how much of the operation is riding on it. All Canadian dollars, quoted fixed in writing before I start, and you hear both numbers on the free call. The full pricing sits on one page. If you need one repeating job handled and not the whole operation rebuilt, that's an automation, and those start at $1,500.

Why not buy off-the-shelf software?
Sometimes you should, and I'll tell you on the call. If your operation runs like everybody else's, an off-the-shelf tool will do the job and cost less. A custom build makes sense when your shop does something the software won't do. DomCast is a good example, a lot of their packing slips still come in on paper.

Doesn't custom software always blow up?
Usually because nobody wrote down what it was before the work started. I quote a fixed price, in writing, off a scope we settle on the call. You pay 50% to start, 25% at the halfway build when you can click through a working version, and 25% at launch. DomCast has run on theirs every day since August 2025.

What happens to us if you're gone?
The build is documented so another developer could pick it up, your data is yours the whole time and you can get an export whenever you ask. If you ever want to take it in house there's a one-time moving fee and I hand over the code, the data, the accounts and the docs.

Talk me through your operation.
Free, 30 minutes. Tell me how a shipment gets logged now and where it gets stuck, and you leave with a scope and a fixed price for putting that on screen. If an off-the-shelf tool is the better answer, I'll say that on the call.
Or email cole@flxw.ca and describe how the shop tracks stock and shipments today.
