Pricing · All prices CAD

One quote, before I start.

Each project starts with a fixed build fee. Websites are yours at launch, with yearly hosting after the first year. I host and run apps and systems on a monthly subscription. All starting prices below are real, in CAD. Your exact price comes off the call once I know the scope, and it goes in writing before any work starts.

How the money works

One build fee, then what it costs to keep running.

The only monthly bill in any of this is the one you pay me to run an app or a system, and nothing renews without you knowing.

01Fixed build feeOne number, in writing, before I start. If the scope changes we talk about it first, and nothing lands on your invoice that you didn't agree to.
0250 / 25 / 25Half to start, a quarter at the halfway build, a quarter at launch. By the time you've paid half of it you've already clicked around a working version.
03Hosting after launchWebsites include the first year, and after that it's a flat yearly fee to host it and keep it patched. Apps and systems run on my hosting and that's part of the monthly subscription.
04Changes are hourlyWebsite changes after launch are quoted hourly, in writing, before I start. Small jobs usually take an hour. Small app and system changes are included in the subscription.

A website is a flat yearly hosting fee after the first year and changes are billed hourly. Apps and management systems run on my hosting, so those are a monthly subscription, $200 to $800 a month for a system and a number I quote with the build for an app. Hosting, updates and me picking it up when something breaks are all in that number. Automations run in your own Make or Zapier account, so there's nothing monthly from me on those.

Your domain is always in your name and your data is always yours, and I'll export it whenever you ask. A website you own outright and you can take it anywhere. An app or a system stays with me while you're paying the subscription, and if you ever want to run it yourself or move to another developer there's a one-time moving fee and I hand over the code, the data and the accounts with the documentation.

What moves the number

Why one quote is $2,500 and another is $6,000.

The page count, features, content and integrations determine the scope. The diagram shows how each affects the build.

All three work for somebody. If you have the evenings and a simple site is enough, Wix will do the job, and I'll tell you that on a call.
